	A384 The Manneporte seen from the East	"Hello, The painting arrived while I was in California. I've been back for a few days, but haven't had time to think of how to comment till now... It is gorgeous, frame, painting, and all. My expectations were very high. I am not disappointed. I showed the painting to a friend, and without telling him what it was, asked for an opinion. After five minutes of inspection, he proclaimed, simply, "I don't believe it. That's what I think." Only then did I reveal it is a reproduction. My own opinion? It is very very close to the restored original. The colors are extremely accurate. I've seen the original, in Philadelphia. And I have a photo of the painting prior to restoration. The colors in the unrestored painting are more washed out and have a brownish tint. The restored original and your reproduction are striking beautiful. A perfect mix of blues and greens. As for the frame, it's a masterpiece as well. I don't believe a local frame shop would have anything similar. The frame is sturdy, solid, strong. A work of art. I do want to say that your entire service was handled in a professional manner. Precise information, prompt email replies, careful packaging. Much better than some (admittedly busier) on-line shopping sites. Graham"
