The museum houses the world's largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh. Its holdings, on loan from the Vincent van Gogh Foundation, include over 200 paintings, 500 drawings and 700 letters by the famous Dutch master, as well as his collection of Japanese prints. The museum also has an outstanding exhibition of work by artists from Holland and other countries from the period between 1840 and 1920. Among the masters are Jozef Israëls, Claude Monet, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Camille Pissarro, Paul Gauguin and Odilon Redon.

Highlights include The Potato Eaters, Self-Portrait with Felt Hat, Still Life with Sunflowers, Wheat Field with Crows, etc.

The Kröller-Müller Museum houses a world-famous collection of fine art, mainly from the 19th and 20th century, incorporating paintings, sculptures, drawings, graphic and applied arts. A focal point of the museum's collection is the wide collection of works by Vincent van Gogh, representing one of the most comprehensive collections of this artist's work to be found anywhere in the world. The museum also boasts important paintings by many other great artists including Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger and Piet Mondriaan, to name but a few.
